Dr. Paul Armes, president of Wayland Baptist University (second from left) accepts a $7,000 check from National Automobile Dealers Association members Patti and Ted Noel, owners of Jack Morris Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Plainview, as a grant from the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation. The gift comes from the John P. Winston, Sr. Memorial Fund, honoring the longtime counselor and assistant secretary to the foundation from 1975-90, as one of four such gifts given annually to private colleges to fund ethics study. Also pictured is Dr. Kent Brooks (right), director of development for the Lubbock campus. Locally, Slatonite Annette Sykora is chairman of the NADA and serves on the NADCF board.
