McLean, patterson set recital

PLAINVIEW – Wayland students Caleb McLean and Christal Patterson will hold a joint junior voice recital in partial fulfillment of their degree plan requirements at 3 p.m. on April 9 in Wayland’s Harral Memorial Auditorium.

              McLean, a junior from Colleyville, is a vocal performance major. He is the son of Dr. Renrick and Marina McLean. Patterson, also a junior vocal performance major, is the daughter of Larry and Delphine Patterson of Houston.

              McLean, a baritone, will perform a number of pieces by composers Joseph Haydn, Luigi Cherubini, R. Vaughn Williams, Roger Quilter and C.Armstrong Gibbs. Patterson, a soprano, will perform pieces by composers G.F. Handel, Pietro Cimara, Ernest Chausson and Amy Beach. The duo will also perform together on a number of pieces.

              Admission to the recital is free and open to the public.
