School of Music holding faculty recital

PLAINVIEW – Dr. Sandra Mosteller, associate professor of music and director of woodwinds in Wayland Baptist University’s School of Music, will hold a faculty clarinet recital at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, in Wayland’s Harral Memorial Auditorium.

              Mosteller will perform several pieces, including the familiar Flight of the Bumblebee composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. She will also perform works by composers Claude Debussy, Robert Muczynski, Charles Villiers Stanford and contemporary composers Brian Dykstra and Scott McAllister.

              Accompanying Mosteller on the pieces by Muczynski will be Dr. Gary Belshaw on Piano. She will also by joined by Dr. Richard Fountain on piano for Black Dog (Rhapsody for Clarinet) by McAllister.

              Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
