Logging in to Blackboard
Blackboard is a Program that Wayland Baptist University uses to host Internet-based courses. When you enroll for courses, you should be provided with Blackboard Login information. If you were not provided with this information or need a reminder, you should find the information below helpful.User Name
- Your User Name for Blackboard is your student ID number(nine digit number starting with 3,4 or 5 zeros). Your Advisor should provide you with this number.
- This number can also be located on your Course Schedule
Password
- When account is created in Blackboard initially, a default password is created for you. The default password consists of the first three letters of your first name and the first three letters of your last name (all lower case)
- Example: If a student's name is John Smith, his default password will be "johsmi"
- Once you have logged into Blackboard, you have the option to change your password.
Steps to Changing your Password in Blackboard
- Login to Blackboard
- Click on the "My WBU" in the left upper hand corner of the screen
- In the "Tools" box at the right hand side of the screen, click on "Personal Information"
- Click on Change Password
- Enter a new Password in the first box provided, then re-enter the new password in the Verify Box
- Click Submit
